GLOBAL MISSION:
Our mission is to provide free health
services and education to people who may
otherwise have no access to healthcare.
and to provide assistance in the face
of natural disasters.

- Hurricane Katrina relief, 2005
- Tsunami relief in Thailand, 2005
LOCAL PROGRAMS:
We regularly participate in local health fairs where we
render free medical services.
Diabetes Screening
UHI offers free diabetes screening and education at our scheduled health fairs.
Community residents are able to receive:
- Free blood sugar testing (finger stick)
- Diabetes prevention and education materials
- Consultation with a medical doctor
- Receive free blood sugar monitor*
*Limited numbers of machines are available for patients with diabetes
Health Education Seminars
Topics include but are not limited to:
- High Blood Pressure
- Cholesterol: The Silent Killer
- Healthy Eating Habits for the entire family
- Diabetes - Education and Prevention
- Have a Healthy Heart
Youth-in-Action Program
UHI supports local community sports programs which mentor and encourage
kids to get involved in physical activities.
Our volunteers are also available to speak at your community, senior center,
school, non-profit organization or social club.
